Insurance & Payment Options

Insurance Coverage

Under women’s preventive services of the Affordable Care Act, health insurance companies are required to pay for lactation support services.  Unfortunately, the law is vague and not all insurance companies interpret it the same way.  As an added bonus, they are also required to provide breast pumps for mothers per birth.  Contact your insurance company representative to find out more about the coverage of your plan!

Simply the Breast is a preferred provider (in-network) for some health insurance companies.  Generally speaking you will have a copay to pay for lactation support due at the time of your consult.  You may also have a coinsurance (portion of the bill) to pay.  If we are in-network for your health insurance, we will also bill your insurance directly for you.  Contact us today to find out if your insurance is one we work with as this changes frequently.

In the case that we are out-of-network for your insurance company, we can provide you with documentation so you can file for reimbursement.

*It is important to check with your health insurance company as this is not a guarantee of coverage because all plans differ.

Self Pay

Some clients choose not to submit claims to their insurance or their insurance is not one that we work with.  In these case clients may pay cash for our services.  We accept payment via cash (must have exact amount), check, debit, and credit cards (MC/VS).

We are now offering packages for cash pay clients.  Take a look below to see our options.

Tongue-Tie packages:

For clients dealing with a baby who is tongue-tied, it can take several consultation appointments to get you up and running making considerable progress with breastfeeding and oral motor movements.  We offer a starter package of 4 consults and an alternative package of 6 consults.  Contact us today to ask about our pricing for self-pay tongue-tie packages.

Milk Supply packages:

For clients struggling with low milk supply, we will work with you to investigate the causes and develop a plan to build your supply.  It can take a few weeks to figure out the causes, tweak any galactagogues you are taking, pumping strategies, and any follow-up lab work that may be needed with your doctor.  For this reason we offer packages of 4 and 6 consults.  Contact us today to ask about our pricing for self-pay milk supply packages.

Health Savings Accounts

Many people with health insurance plans also have Health Savings Accounts (HSA) to help pay medical bills and/or offset high deductibles.  For your convenience, we also accept your HSA debit card for payment!
